A post from GhanaWeb stated that, forner Blackstars goalkeeper, Ali Jarrah said on an interview with Connect 97.1 Fm that Richard Ofori should be restored as Ghana's No.1 goalkeeper for the national team, considering his worth of experience in the game, having been tried and and proven in the position before certain injuries that took him off the pitch for sometime, and understuding former goalkeepers before becoming Ghana's No.1 sometime ago after Richard Kingston.
With this said, it is arguable that Richard Ofori has been a sight to watch in sveral Blackstar clashes, securing the goal post and the moving the back four for a solid defensive line at the back. On the other hand, Ati Zigi and Jojo Wallacot have for sometime now have also proven their goalkeeping abilities for the Blackstars, in their recent debut in the 2022 World Cup and Afcon 2022.
It is quite evident that the people of Ghana have their own preferences for who should be Ghana's No.1 goalkeeper based own their own observations of the potential of thses players, but lets take a look at the individual ratings of these players by Fifa.

1. Richard Ofori
From the stats presented, Richard Ofori has an impressive overall rating of 71 and a potential rating of 73 meaning he can play better but is dependent on various factors.
2. Lawerence Ati Zigi
Lawrence Ati Zigi has an impressive overall rating of 74 and a very high potential of 78 rating that is affected by factors such as playtime on the field, and motivation of players on the pitch.
3. Jojo Wallacot
Wallacot has an impressive Fifa overall rating of 64 and a potential of 68 rating.
Though the Fifa ratings is based on advanced and detailed evaluation of player performances, there are several factors that may immensely change or vary the performance of these players on the field. An example being that, some of these players don't get a lot of playtime on the pitch and hence don't often get the avenue to showcase their talents and skills in their club teams. It has been recorded on several occasions, where players have performed extraordinarily on their national sides, because of more playtime, attention from coaching staff as well as intense and uplifting practice sessions.
No doubt that being in the national team is a whole different environment and feeing on different levels for these players, and may tend to perform better or not so well compared to their club teams.

But for the time being it might be said that Ghana's No.1 goalkeeper os no other than Lawrence Ati Zigi of FC St. Gallen. He has continually shown skill and talent on the pitch as a goalkeeper, showcasing his potential as the best goalkeeper for the national side. He has refined experience; very well composed and confident on the pitch. Surprisingly, Ati Zigi has the most appearances in his national career, having several appearances from U17 in 2013, U20 in 2015, and Senior national team since 2017.
